Seregios is a golden flying wyvern covered in blade-like scales, and it throws them at you. Fans who remember Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate know it as the monster Capcom’s community manager nicknamed “Steve”, and the name stuck.
Out in the wild
It lives in the Windward Plains and is fiercely territorial. It’s quick in the air and on its feet, and it does most of its damage with powerful hind legs and talons. It can also fire its scales, which cut deep enough to make you bleed. The name plays on serre, French for talon, and “serrate”.
Where you meet it
It arrived with free Title Update 2 on June 30, 2025, and needs HR 31+ and “A World Turned Upside Down”. In its story hunt, a Seregios ambushes the children’s Seikret on the Windward Plains, and you have to protect them. A Tempered version also exists.
How the fight goes
It’s aggressive and fast. It fires scales and follows up straight away, and it loves flanking kicks. If you’re bleeding, keep it under control while you keep up the pressure.
Hunter’s tips
- Break the head and tail. It reduces how many scales it can fire.
- The legs are weak points. They open up for a Focus Strike after talon sweeps and dive-bombs.
- Cure bleeding by standing still or crouching for a moment, or eat a Well-done Steak.
- Head, legs and wings can be broken, and the tail can be cut off. It’s completely resistant to fire.
